General Responsibilities/Maintenance Engineer
Scheduling:
- Ensure that all hotel equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner, at the designated time, and in accordance with engineering practice to maximize its life expectancy and increase the profitability of the hotel.
- Ensure the proper appearance of the Hotel from the entrance to the roof. Maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, service areas, and all building exteriors.
- Make sure all are taken care of by using standards set forth by the SOP handbook.
- Responsible for knowing the schedule & being timely.
- Attend & report on time for all meetings and training scheduled by management.
Specific Responsibilities: Facilities - Ensure that the hotel meets/exceeds Brand quality standards.

- Equipment reading from all mechanical areas assigned
- Maintains written logs for daily records/timesheets
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment assigned
- Performs duties as assigned and as necessary to complete the job in a timely and safe manner.
- Provides Director with information about mechanical equipment.
- Understand and be able to use the property management system.
- Have a good understanding of all hotel operating procedures.
- Follow the dress code.
- Capable of reading and interpreting meters and test equipment.
- Assist other departments of the Hotel as needed.
- Assist Banquet Department with electrical setups, banners, etc.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Be familiar with all building systems: STEAM, CHILL WATER, ELECTRICAL, WATER, AIR, DOOR LOCKS, and OTHER SYSTEMS.
- Respond within a 15-minute window to the guest room request.
- Handle all guest complaints effectively and courteously.
- Repair/refurbish facility from general wear and deterioration examples are but are not limited to: painting, caulking, hanging/finishing damaged sheetrock, applying the skill sets possessed by the employee to the needs of the hotel in a reasonable form or request.
Other Responsibilities
- All kitchen equipment including refrigeration, laundry, bldg.
