Plant Maintenance Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Frazier Industrial Company is the leading manufacturer of racking systems, with its headquarters located in Long Valley, NJ. The Plant Maintenance Technician position is full time and based at one of our shop locations in Waterloo, NY. The position maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. The work schedule is Monday thru Thursday, 4:00am to 2:30pm. Overtime may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or requested.

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Equipment maintenance, technical understanding, power tools, job knowledge.

• High school diploma required or GED equivalent.

• Must have own hand tools.

• Forklift certified or able to obtain forklift certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
