Job description
Supervises and coordinates the maintenance of buildings, equipment, machinery, tooling and janitorial. Oversee project coordination for the installation, upgrades and improvements for process equipment and facilities. This includes estimating project costs, writing capital request justifications, interfacing with process owners to develop scope of work and allocating resources for work completion. Oversight of all plant systems and utilities.
Responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs daily functions of the Maintenance, Tooling and Janitorial teams
- Project Management of Maintenance related Projects
- Plans and directs equipment installs, moves and repairs including utilities within the building.
- Oversight of all plant systems (electrical, fire alarm/sprinkler, plumbing, gases, compressed air, HVAC, communications networks, grounds & structure)
- Interpretation and applications of Regulatory Codes (ex: OSHA, NEC, NFPA & CGA)
- Oversight of all Maintenance Related Projects
- PLC Trouble Shooting and Programming
- Knowledge to oversee, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical installations and repairs
- Create quotes for internal work and collect quotes from outside contractors
- Supervise and schedule diverse team over 3 shift operation and weekends
- Manage remote support and call-ins for emergency repairs.
- Interface with OEM technicians for trouble shooting and equipment repair
- Oversee PM program to develop, implement and ensure that work is completed on-time and in an effective manner through communication and auditing, updates PM Schedule Log daily. Reviews PM tasks for effectiveness and submits changes for approval as determined necessary.
- Responsible to maintain adequate spare parts inventory for equipment - research parts and supplies needed, prepare purchase requisitions and submit for approval
- Experience with Work Order Systems and ability to develop and maintain CMMS
- Prioritize workload to keep buildings and equipment properly operational and projects on task.
- Provide training as necessary
- Ensure all internal team members and outside contractor personnel observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines while performing all tasks associated with their jobs.
- Verify the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is being used as required by all team members as well as outside contractors and self.
- Communicates closely with production and all plant support groups to ensure projects are defined accurately and executed effectively.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and define problems and resolve issues quickly
- Experienced with three-phase power systems – installation, troubleshooting and repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, AC/DC drives, and PLC/NC control troubleshooting (programming experience preferred)
- Interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Qualified to operate and maintain all Maintenance Department equipment and machinery.
- Tool-Making/Machining experience preferred
- Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and or situations.
- Available to work off shift if the need arises.
Education and Experience:

Experience:
- Maintenance: 7 years (Required)
- Maintenance Supervisor: 3 years (Required)
Education:
- Bachelor's – Engineering or related discipline
