We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Finishing Operations in New Bedford, Ma. This position reports directly to the Superintendent, Maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue the maintenance activity work schedule.
• Prepare and coordinate contractor activities and work schedule.
• Prepare detailed critical path plans including equipment and materials for major jobs such as planned shutdowns.
• Ensure that equipment and material are available when required.
• Assist storeroom in parts procurement, repair and identification
• Issue and follow up on preventative/predictive maintenance inspections and procedures.
• Ensure that necessary work history and documentation are organized and input into Maximo.
• Attend daily meetings with operations and maintenance representatives.
• Work closely with salary and hourly workforce to prioritize work orders.
• Evaluate time-based PM's and seek opportunities to replace with condition based inspections.
• Generate maintenance plans which will minimize down day timing and allow for overlapping work.
• Conduct field investigations to better identify scope of work.
• Prepare summary and exception reports. Prepare long-term plans and schedules for review and approval by management. Use exception reports to drive continuous improvement within the processes.
• Adhere to all safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of two years' experience as a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Candidates must have working experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System, Maximo preferred, as well as experience with project management software, MS Project or equivalent. Working knowledge of MS Office is also required.

Preferred Requirements:

• An Associate's degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
