Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces. Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN. The Maintenance Mechanic performs work involving skill sets of two or more maintenance occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve boiler tending, welding, machining, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new machinery and repairing building floors, stairs and walls.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment for food manufacturing production.
• Adjust functional parts and devices using hand tools.
• Address boiler issues as required
• Inspect electrical motors and devices; repair, remove and replace.
• Fabricate and repair wooden structures.
• Estimate repair costs.
• Record work activities.
• Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Comply with all safety requirements.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment and maintenance

Compensation: Dependent on experience

2nd shift: 3:00PM- 11:30PM with the possibility of overtime

3rd shift: 11:00PM - 7:30AM with the possibility of overtime

Physical: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights.

Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
