Maintenance Labourer

Purpose of Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Labourer is responsible for general housekeeping and tool inventory for multiple shop facilities. Assists workers engaged in fabrication of sheet metal products, liners, buckets, bucket components, mechanical assemblies and chutes by performing the following duties to CIS safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:
SHE Compliance:
Read, understand and comply with company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Remain updated and in compliance with Safety, Health and Environment program implementation
Tool Inventory
- Support continuous improvement in various manufacturing processes by reducing the tooling costs and improving the flow of material and setting up cycle times.
Housekeeping Maintenance:
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Performs other routine duties as directed by supervision
- Performs indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks as required

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
High school education; or up to three month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Basic computer skills required to be able to work with the Workday system
