POSITION:

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Foreman to supervise all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. You will be the one to perform small and specific on-the-job training for junior technicians.

A great Maintenance Foreman will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in maintenance theory and health and safety regulations.

The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

Shift - (1) 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday - Weekend availability in case of emergency

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans

● Ability to guide junior staff in Maintenance tasks as needed

● Maintains inventory of custodial/maintenance supplies and equipment

● Carry out inspections of shop tools to identify and resolve issues

● Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality

● Inspect all repair activities

● Performs ongoing preventive maintenance and minor repair on plumbing, custodial equipment, HVAC, building structure, and hardware

● Performs minor electrical maintenance and repairs

● Monitor equipment inventory and alert Maintenance Manager when necessary

● Performs service to facility operational equipment such as compressors, boilers, unit ventilators and fans and maintains records on operational and maintenance activities

● Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

● Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

QUALIFICATIONS:

● 5 plus years experience as a maintenance technician

● Excellent problem-solving and communication, leadership skills, and a team player

● Must be able to read, write, and understand English

● Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, ability to be proactive

● Experience in executing maintenance operations

● Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc. CNC and compressor experience a PLUS

● Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment

● Ability to keep track of and report on activity

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● High School Diploma or Degree from a vocational school Preferred

● Must be able to lift 45 pounds unassisted using safe lifting techniques above shoulder level

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
