This position will split time between the two work areas, Maintenance Assistant and Security Officer.

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT-

• Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Assist in resolving maintenance issues in the area of A/C, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
• Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements.
• Performs garden/yard upkeep and collecting trash, etc.

SECURITY OFFICER -

• Responsible for promoting and guarding the community property and assets against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry by unauthorized persons while meeting and/or exceeding service standards.
• Conducts safety and security inspections of all community to include common areas, resident corridors, parking areas and perimeter access of a large community campus.
• Examines doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are secure.
• Sounds alarm and/or calls police/fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

Skills/Qualifications -

• Working knowledge of hand tools, power tool, basic mechanical plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
• High School diploma or GED
• One year experience, preferred.
