SUMMARY:
This position will learn to maintain the injection molding machines. You will learn to clean molds, process machine cycle times, trouble shoot machine problems, assist Lead and Junior Technicians with repairs and processing. Need to learn to read and understand machine and electrical schematics. This position is the “training ground” to becoming a Junior Technician. This position works 12 hours shifts and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

In this position, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Rotate from daylight to night turn every 3 month (schedule rotates between 3 months 7am-7pm, then 3 months 7pm to 7am)
• Learn to clean molds and then ensure molds are cleaned daily.
• Learn to process the cycle and make adjustments as needed to produce quality products and ensure desirable cycle times.
• Will work with the Lead and Junior Technicians on the shift to learn all aspects of troubleshooting and processing.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to learn to read and understand blue prints and schematics.
• Notify Lead Tech and Maintenance Manager immediately of any problems.
• Able to perform multi-task assignments.
• Other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed in this position:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work in a standing, sitting, or bent position for 12 hours/day
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds with control.
• Must be able to raise arms above shoulders and maintain dexterity for extended periods of time and also use hand tools.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
