The Monarch at Coconut Creek a premier Memory Care is seeking a Maintenace assistant to join our team!
Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures and utility systems of building and maintaining grounds, installing, servicing and repairing mechanical equipment
Job Duties
Assists in the implementation of a preventive maintenance program for all equipment in the community.
Responsible for maintenance of drains, access areas, grease traps, garbage cans, cooling tower and mechanical rooms.
Assists with grounds maintenance.
Investigates mechanical breakdowns and failures of machinery and equipment to determine cause and prevent reoccurrence by a preventive maintenance program. Repairs emergency breakdowns in shortest possible time.
Must perform regular after hours "on-call" duties as scheduled.
Qualifications
Must have working knowledge of electrical, air conditioning and plumbing equipment.
Must be able to tolerate extreme heat, cold, wet, humid or noisy conditions.
Must be in good physical shape and mental health with the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders.
Must be able to exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally and exert up to 50 lbs. of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Must be in designated uniform during working hours.
Must be available on a 24-hour basis in case of emergency.
Must have one-year previous experience in maintenance.
Must have strong customer service skills.
