Job description
PURPOSE
Under the general supervision of the Residential Loan Operations Manager, AVP the incumbent will process loan payments received from the borrowers or through lock box and assist in the operations of the Loan Operations Department under established guidelines and policies. The Loan Operations Exceptions Processor will be the primary backup for the new loan setup of residential and consumer loans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all loan payments, loan funding, and loan payoffs.
- Balance all systems daily, as required, and prepare daily settlements.
- Verify all checks issued from the Money Gramm account to the checkbook log for accuracy.
- Review lockbox CDM and determine whether to process payments or reject them for processing at the branch.
- Review and complete payment-related reports daily including, Posting Reject Report, ACH Report, and Autopay Report.
- Assist with the ePost of all partial payments as directed and notify borrower(s) by generating an unapplied letter for residential mortgages. Provide copies of letters to the Collection Department and the loan file.
- Perform the daily distribution of all department correspondence.
- Monitor returned mail.
- Prepare refund checks as requested or needed.
- Monitor and log all return items in the log and follow up with an appropriate letter.
- Update branch inventory sheet daily.
- Maintain Exception Processing manual; Keep all information current.
- Understand regulatory requirements and knowledge of Bank products and services to properly service the borrowers and loans.
- Distribute incoming wires to appropriate staff and ensure all wires received are posted or cleared daily.
- Ensure payments received are verified daily.
- Scan all work in FCM daily ensuring legibility.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly payoff reports.
- Execute supply orders biweekly.
- Prepare Management report to be submitted by the 15th of each month.
