Lifeguard Job Description

Position: Lifeguard

Reports to: Pool Supervisor/Head Lifeguard and the Athletic Director

Job Summary: Guards the pool and performs pool duties

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs, at all times, in a professional and polite manner consistent with Chattahoochee Country Club policies regarding member services.
• Lifeguards the pool. This is the primary responsibility. All others are secondary.
• Holds current lifeguarding and First Aid/CPR certifications from a recognized agency
• Applies consistency to enforcement of all pool rules
• Rotates guard stands in a timely manner with the other guards
• Administers first aid where necessary
• Rotates with as the pool’s receptionist as needed ensuring all members and guests sign in. Understands that in this position they are responsible for being the first impression for the Club to its members, guests, and potential members.
• Assists the Swim Coach as needed
• Completes all daily chores as described on the daily Chore List
• Completes other duties as requested by the Pool Supervisor, Head Lifeguard, or Athletic Director
• Follows all employee rules and duties as described in the CCC Pool Manual
• Follows the emergency procedures as described in the Pool Staff/Emergency Manual
• Follows rule infraction guidelines and reports all incidents or accidents to the Pool Supervisor or Head Lifeguard immediately to record in the log.
• Fills out all other accident/incident reports in a timely manner.
• Follows all employee rules as described in the CCC Employee Manual
• Is familiar with all other CCC Rules, Regulations, programs, and events
• Ensures the locker rooms are properly cleaned throughout the day
• Assists the Snack Bar staff by cleaning the pavilion and patio areas as needed.

Hours: Must be able to work weekdays and weekends. Must be able to work until 9pm at night. Includes meals.
