Veterinary Clinic is seeking to fill the role of Licensed Veterinary Technician for our expanding services at our local clinic. Our Licensed Veterinary Technician plays a pivotal role in providing quality care for all of our patients and is an essential part of our clinic operations. We are a busy, growing clinic looking for a team member that is ready to support our mission of providing high quality and preventative care at an affordable cost to our community.

Responsibilities of the Licensed Veterinary Technician will include:

· Daily care of all surgical patients

· Assisting doctors with the pre-, peri- and post-operative care of surgical patients

· Assist veterinarian in treatment of medical issues of shelter animals

· Document medical information in veterinary software

· Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients

· Communicate follow-up and homecare instructions with clients

· Collect laboratory samples and process lab work

· Assistance in providing out-patient exam services for our walk-in vaccine clinic

Qualified Surgical Veterinary Technician candidates will have:

· Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital/clinic as a technician or assistant

· Experience with Cornerstone is a plus

· Exceptional communication and customer service skills

· Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

· Calm and efficient demeanor during a medical crisis

· SC State License/Certification is preferred but not required
