Hi! We are currently looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our out patient team in Fishkill, NY!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Department: Cardiology

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 (Depending on Experience)

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to Doctors, RNs, patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure in good standing in New York.
• 3 plus years of LPN experience preferred.
• Evidence of BLS preferred.
• Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educating patients on cardiovascular diseases
• Informing them of preventative measures
• Counseling the patients
• Help diagnose and treat cardiovascular events
• Assist in performing diagnostic tests such as ECGs
• Interact with the patients as well as their families pre and post treatment
• Evaluate and monitor heart related devices such as pacemakers
• Monitor the patient and their vitals, especially cardiovascular readings
• Assessing and interpreting lab results
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and their families to facilitate lifestyle modifications
• Be able to provide postoperative care to cardiac patients
• Be able to maintain a sterile standard in the facility
• Have the ability to perform and interpret various cardiac and vascular lab tests

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
