The primary purpose of the librarian is to provide reports on researcher impact and publishing metrics as well as education content to improve visibility and accessibility of scholarship.
Key Job Functions
Impacts Reports - Work with faculty, departments, and centers to generate standard and customized research impact reports. Negotiate, prioritize, and streamline reports to ensure quality service. Develop and maintain online content. Provide benchmark analysis in collaboration with institutional experts.
Education and consultations - Provide training to faculty, trainees, staff and administrators on impact metrics and generating reports. Serve as an expert consultant on impact metrics and improving visibility and access of published research.
Reference assistance - Provides general and in-depth reference assistance using available technologies for clients who seek clinical, medical, or scientific knowledge. Staffs the chat reference service, provides email reference, facilitates staff meetings, and serves as on-call reference librarian.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Required: Master's degree in Library Information Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
