About the Role: We are looking for a Contract Manager to join our Legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting the contractual needs primarily for PharmBIO business group and other markets within the Performance Solutions Division.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States.*

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to review, understand, and work with complex contracts and contract principles and partner with business teams to evolve and execute contracting strategy
  • Drive the contract management process including drafting, redlining, business reviews, negotiating, execution, and associated management of a wide variety and volume of contracts for execution, including third-party agreements
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy including issue spotting common legal issues and business risk
  • Coordinate with and advise internal clients on various contractual provisions and issues and communicates information to stakeholders about contract-related matters
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external clients on contractual matters ensuring timely review and approval of suggested variations to contracts
  • Lead Gore’s contract requirements and executing / aligning on contracting processes with focusing on and improving strategic account relationships
  • Effectively utilize and apply previously agreed upon contract language and fallback provisions in negotiated Gore template and third-party paper to mitigate Gore’s risk and help ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements in the target markets
  • Collaborate with product specialists, sales associates, business leaders, the legal team, and other functional experts in Europe, the Americas and Asia
  • Maintain a consistent contracting approach and process and proactively strengthening and supporting the development of contract knowledge within the target markets and business teams
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with teams

Required Qualifications:

  • BBA/BA/BS degree in a business or contract related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience OR 10 years' experience as a contract specialist/contract manager
  • Demonstrated ability in complex contract administration, redlining, negotiation and management
  • Experience establishing process improvements across multiple functions to meet regulatory and customer requirements
  • Experience working in cross-functional and virtual teams, ideally across cultures and regions with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Understanding of Uniform Commercial Code - Article 2 - Sales
  • Proficiency in contract life cycle management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite with strong, demonstrable capabilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to analyze complex contracts and the resulting business risks and communicate them broadly to leadership
  • Ability to work with customers and find solutions to meet regulatory requirements while protecting company Intellectual Property and sensitive financial information
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Desired Qualifications:

  • World Commerce & Contracting (formally IACCM) CCM Certification or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) CCCM / CPCM / CFCM Certification
  • Industry experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industry
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with teams
*Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
