Position Details:
- 1st Shift: 5:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Thursday
- Starting Wage: $21.00/hr. (Plus $0.50 Lead Premium)
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with appropriate personnel to be prepared for what will come off the line and in what order.
- Review router for special hanging instructions
- Determine with Line Coordinator and Lead Painter the best way to hang for density, drainage, and painting using the correct hooks to avoid hook marks, but strong enough to hold the weight of the part.
- Perform visual inspection of parts for obvious defects, contact supervisor to determine if parts should be painted.
- Maintain a correct count of parts as they are hung; Match counts to work order and record as appropriate.
- Direct, instruct and assist Hangers
- Work performed based upon work orders or routings and/or verbal instructions.
- Ensure parts are packaged to prevent damage during shipping process.
- Page material handler to transport finished parts to appropriate location.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent or previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have and wear protective gear designated for the Department and job.
- Must be able to stand for all or most of a regular work shift as well as reach, bend and stoop.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to read / write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, work orders and customer specifications.
