About the job

We are looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter with 10+ years of relevant experience. You should be comfortable planning and doing all the rough and finish carpentry work needed for a residential remodel. You may work with the Construction Supervisor or run your own site. You may also help the Supervisor coordinate the subs and and/or help with training / supervising less experienced carpenters. You will also need to support and work with the IKB design team, manage inspections, and help with client updates and planning.

Responsibilities

• Work with Supervisor to schedule, coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Provide / supervise all carpentry work for projects as needed including structural demo, framing, cabinetry, doors and windows, accessories, finish carpentry and miscellaneous punchlist / handyman / warranty work.
• Partner with the IKB design team to improve designs, reduce risks and assist with project planning, estimating, bidding and logistics.
