Castlerock Excavating, INC. is a leading excavation general contractor. We are located in Billings, Montana and you'll find many of our successful projects in our Montana and Wyoming service area. Castlerock Excavating’s main focus of work is underground utility installation, foundations, and pipe bursting. Castlerock Excavating is an equal opportunity employer. We're growing and need to hire a laborer/pipe layer as part of our team. Previous utility installation preferred but not required. Pay is mainly focused on experience. Responsibilities for position but not limited to:
- Understanding and ability to read construction plans.
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe.
- Assist equipment operators to ensure safe and proper excavation.
- Use of a laser, grade rod and transit level to establish alignment and grade.
- Align and join pipe and fittings.
- Understanding of utility locates.
- Works as part of a team under strict deadlines. The ability to understand and follow instructions from Supervisors.
- Perform other construction duties as needed.
- Physically able to carry at minimum 50 pounds. Stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work at various job sites as required.
- Able to work long hours in all types of weather conditions including weekends during construction high season.
- Pass all pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
