A laboratory in the Basic Sciences Division is recruiting an hourly Lab Aide I for 16-18 hours per week. The Aide will coordinate with lab members and work a consistent weekly schedule (i.e., 2x 8hrs or 3x 6 hours) with flexibility within reason for shift days/times after the initial training period. - Care and maintenance of fly stocks
- General lab maintenance, including preparation of lab reagents and stock solutions, cleaning, sterilizing labware, and other duties, as assigned.
- Provide back-up support to Fly Kitchen when necessary.
- Attention to detail essential.
- Graduation from High School or equivalent with interest in the sciences.
- Some lab experience and/or college level chemistry courses preferred.
- Must be able to lift trays weighing 20-30 pounds.
- Must be reliable and able to produce consistent high quality results.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $18.75 to $24.71 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
