Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership’s HEAD START EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM is seeking a KITCHEN AIDE for the Norfolk Head Start Center. Work 40 hours per week M-F. Hourly Wage, plus benefits.
JOB SUMMARY: The Kitchen Aide will assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals at scheduled times, in accordance to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Assist in the completion and posting of required nutrition reports, including attendance, CACFP daily meal counts, temperature logs and Menu Planning and Production Sheets. Store and label food following the Food and Safety Sanitation requirements. Abide by the Kitchen Inspection Report and state inspection reports. Ensure nutritious meals are provided daily. Perform kitchen and dining area cleaning duties including trash, sweeping/mopping, loading and unloading dishwasher, clean sinks and restrooms if requested. Possess basic computer skills. Maintain confidentiality of program participants and follow Program and Agency standards and policies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Experience in food service preferred.
WAGE: The wage is $12.00 per hour, plus benefits.Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance. Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, EAP, 401K Retirement.
