Job Duties
- Prepare for & lead KidStrong designed programming in 45-minute classes
- Facilitate student check-in and general class operations
- Speak to & educate parents on KidStrong curriculum as directed in the certification/programming
- Identify opportunities to celebrate student’s achievements, on and off the KidStrong “blue floor”
- Complete all pre and post shift duties, including preparing in advance for class, setting up the room, cleaning, team event participation, etc.
- Prepare for & co-facilitate center team meetings, inclusive of curriculum rollout, training, teambuilding, monthly equipment deep cleaning, etc
- Meet & maintain ongoing requirements of a KidStrong coach
- Lead coaching team in meeting the same expectations as well as facilitating on-going development training for the entire coaching team
- Responsible for coach schedule management, as needed, inclusive of filling or covering classes, camps, and parties
- Responsible for maintaining high blue floor quality, inclusive of cleaning the entire blue floor, repairing equipment as needed
- Administrative duties, inclusive of daily/weekly coach communication, member communications (utilization/no show outreach, FB member group post, etc), filling classes and camps, booking birthday parties, and general student retention
- Regular development, support and evaluation of coaching team as well as recruitment and training of new coaches, as needed
- Act as the liaison between the HQ programming team and center. This includes but is not limited to; attending all HQ programming rollout meetings, providing feedback on programming via nation Slack channels, completing LearnUpon modules as advised by HQ.
- Attend and participate in leadership team meetings
- Participate in community outreach events, at least one per quarter
- Must be available for full-time work (40+ hrs); inclusive of:
- Coaching 10+ classes (working evenings and one weekend day per week)
- One in-center lobby shift per week for community and parent relationship building
- Evaluating coaches every 90 days
- Must complete and pass KidStrong Coach Certification and Head Coach Certification
- Must hold current CPR certification and complete a background check
- Have a passion for working with children
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
- Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication and leadership skills
- Prior experience working with children ages 1-11 is preferred (coaching, teaching, etc)
Compensation
- Starting Base Salary is $65,000, paid bi-monthly
- Performance reviews will be held approximately once every 6 months. High review marks plus participation in continuing education may qualify you for a raise and/or growth opportunities.
