Job Title: IT Field Engineer

Job Purpose:
The IT Field Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for computer systems, hardware, software, networks, and other related IT equipment at our clients in the St. Louis market. The key focus of the job is to ensure that all IT systems are functioning optimally and meeting the needs of the organization you support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer systems, hardware, software, networks, and other related IT equipment.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and other IT equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and patches to ensure optimal system performance.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Respond to service requests, resolve issues, and document solutions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide end-user support and training on IT systems and applications.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
• Participate in IT projects as needed to support business objectives.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all IT equipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT field engineering or related role in the MSP Space.
• Strong technical skills in computer systems, hardware, software, networks, and other related IT equipment.
• Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• On call after hours support every 7 weeks rotation.
• Familiar with IT Glue and Connectwise Automate and Manage is helpful.

Working Conditions:

• IT Field Engineers typically work in an office environment and may need to travel to different locations to provide support.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays to meet business needs.

May be required to lift heavy equipment or climb ladders to install or maintain IT equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
