CDC has a full-time opportunity for an Insurance Verifier at our Business Office. This position serves a critical role in the clinic. The Insurance Verifier reviews all scheduled appointments and verifies all state and commercial insurances to make sure that they are active.

Insurance Verifier Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient insurance status - both medical assistance and commercial plans
  • Check patient dental history to determine eligibility for treatment and services
  • Help make confirmation calls to patients regarding upcoming appointments
  • Send and receive Prior Authorizations
  • Communicate to Treatment Coordinators if a patient shows up as also having commercial insurance through MNITS
  • Back-up for multiple different positions and duties throughout the clinic as needed

**Additional or different duties may be assigned from time to time

Flexible Hours:

  • Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Insurance Verifier Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably within a dental office setting
  • 1-2 years of dental insurance/claims experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced within MS Office or other computer software
