South Coast Conservatory is seeking a knowledgeable, self-motivated, dynamic Acrobatic/Tumbling Coach w/dance experience, who is not only enthusiastic but also a dependable team player. An immediate part-time coaching position is available in our SCC Team and Recreational Program.

Our ideal candidate has solid coaching experience, understanding of fundamentals and skill progressions, excellent spotting skills, and has outstanding interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of Acro/Tumbling coaching experience
• A minimum of 3 years of gymnastics/Trampoline/Tumbling or Cheerleading experience (Dance experience a plus)
• Solid knowledge of Tumbling skills development
• Strong spotting skills
• Desire to continue learning and growing as an instructor
• Ability to lead others and work collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to verbally communicate with the dancers/acrobats, their parents, and co-workers, providing clear directions and assistance
• Responsible, dependable, and a positive role model for children
• Energetic demeanor
• Ability to think fast and hold children’s interest
• Physical Demands:
• This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time;
• spotting and lifting athletes of various ages and sizes; and
• performance training, instruction, and coaching.

Job Type:

• Part-time
• Weekday afternoon/evenings and Saturdays available
• Salary to be determined by experience.
