The Division of General Pediatrics, within the Department of Pediatrics at Oregon Health & Science University, is recruiting a full-time Instructor. The focus of this position is the provision of excellent pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital’s (DCH) General Pediatrics & Adolescent Health Clinic and the Mother-Baby Unit.
Key features of the position include:
- Clinical responsibilities in the General Pediatrics & Adolescent Health Clinic, including supervision of pediatric residents, medical students, and other trainees in the clinic, as well as direct patient care.
- Coverage of some evening and Saturday clinics.
- Possibility of continuation of continuity clinic.
- Clinical responsibilities in the Mother-Baby Unit.
- Night and weekend backup for parent advice calls.
This position is primarily clinical. The average clinical load will be 8 half-day clinic sessions per week and up to 8 weeks/weekends in the Mother-Baby Unit. There will be little to no expectation of participation in other activities (e.g. departmental committees, scholarly projects etc.). However, the appointee is expected to participate in division meetings and quality improvement projects.
