Infections Control/QA/Staff Development
Job description
The Infection Control/QA/Staff development has oversight over all infection control related activities within the organization. Directs the efforts of all the performance improvement initiatives to ensure overall compliance with all regulatory standards including national, state, CMS, DNV and other agencies. He/She works with clinicians and administrators to improve overall patient safety and systems-level outcomes. Will also lead the QA team in efforts to comply with state regs. Will also drive staff development in the orientation of new staff members and also maintaining the annual inservice per state requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a hospital facility required, Quality/IC leadership experience preferred
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a registered nurse
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a similar field of study preferred
- Certification in Infection Prevention
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
