Norfield has been designing, manufacturing, servicing, and supplying pre-hanging door machinery since 1959. We're headquartered in Chico, CA with an East coast distribution center in Garner, North Carolina.
We are seeking an experienced service technician in the Raleigh, NC area to service equipment primarily in the Eastern US and Canada. The service technician is responsible for repairs, start-ups of new equipment, upgrades and maintenance of Norfield equipment located at various customer sites throughout the eastern portion of the U.S. and Canada.
The ideal candidate will have millwork industry experience with repairing, maintaining or operating Norfield equipment and a strong PLC background. In addition qualified candidates must have the following:

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

· Understanding of electro-mechanical components, functionality and application.

· Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics, mechanical and assembly drawings.

· Must possess excellent people skills and represent the Company in a positive manner at all times.

· Must have a valid US Passport.

· Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Attention to detail and safety is required.

· Must be punctual, organized and able to work independently under pressure.

· Able to meet deadlines.

This position requires extended overnight travel away from home. A typical week will be traveling on a Monday and returning on Friday. Must be able to lift a tool box weighing up to 50 lbs. While in the field, the job requires frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending and lifting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
