Industrial Diesel & Equipment Mechanic

CRI, a leading industrial scrap metal recycler, is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic to fix and repair all operating equipment. The position is Full Time, Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm.

Job Overview

Always operates safely. Performs the diagnoses and repair of all mechanical, electronic, gas / diesel and hydraulic functions. Responsible for repairs on hydraulic material handling systems and industrial equipment while ensuring all repairs address the problem. Preventative maintenance understanding. The ideal candidate is willing to learn new skills.

Requirements and Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to be a successful and valued Team Member of CRI:

• Powered Industrial Truck repair experience is a must
• General mechanic experience and knowledge required
• Troubleshooting skills
• Basic welding
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Diesel engine understanding
• Basic tire knowledge and repair skills
• Basic hydraulic understanding
• Repair skills with brakes, hoses, belts, oil changes, leaks, batteries, and overall diagnoses
• Truck a/c understanding
• Basic knowledge of tractors and trailers
• Power tool understanding and usage
• Maintain/responsible for company owned tools
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Bi-Lingual preferred but not necessary

• Arizona Drivers License (Preferred)
