The Hyperion Administrator is responsible for the day to day administration of the Hyperion system and the execution of various support activities in order to maximize performance. The Administrator contributes to improving the efficiency and functionality of the Hyperion environment while ensuring data integrity, handling overall system maintenance tasks, providing user support and assisting with system changes to meet the reporting and planning needs of the organization.

Job Description

• Manage the timing and execution of data loads, calculations, and system consolidations.
• Manage / develop efficient and sustainable dimensional hierarchies in line with business requirements
• Assist with data/performance issue resolution and solving root cause of problems as incurred
• Manage and develop reports in Smartview and Hyperion Financial Reports; ensure users are able to execute / use reports effectively
• Manage development, testing & migration between pre-production environments: Maintenance of development, QA and production Hyperion environments; Ensure changes to the production environment are fully tested and approved in the development environment(s) prior to go-live
• Execution and assist in ongoing development of governance process: Present and recommend solutions for (and priority of) requests; execute per finance guidance; communicate completion; provide user instructions as necessary
• Serve as primary point of contact with the 3rd party managed services / environment monitoring provider

• Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F)
• Hybrid : Open to any of our US locations for well qualified candidate; mix of office/remote work

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : Ability to capture & document end user requirements; Knowledge of Oracle relational database queries preferred; Knowledge of financial reporting requirements preferred
• PBCS or EPBCS experience
• Strong knowledge with Essbase module, including but not limited to Maxl script, Calculation Scripts, Report scripts and business Rule.
• Knowledge of Hyperion Infrastructure and architecture
• Experience with Windows and Unix Operating Systems.
• Special Skills : Strong communication skills; High attention to details; Strong analytical, diagnostic and technical skills; Proficient with MS Excel.

Years Of Experience

• 2-5 : At least 2+ years of experience with Hyperion, Unix & Windows Operating Systems, preferably in a systems administrator capacity
