Cargo Largo is a dynamic, growth company. Our 500+ associates process and sell new products, including popular brands, via multiple paths to market: retail, eBay, on-site bid auctions... We’re building a 630,000 sq. ft. HQ in Independence, Missouri to consolidate seven area locations. Our positive, friendly culture is truly world class. This position is open due to promotion.

1st shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday). Flexible start time set by you between 7:30 - 8:30 AM.

Pay Rate: $60,000+ based on experience. Substantial opportunity to increase responsibility/pay.

What you’ll be doing

• Partner. Work closely with 12 managers, e. g., encourage recognition, plan/document how to address performance issues, promotions/transfers (20 hours/week)
• Support. Answer associate inquiries, e.g., FMLA/leave, vacation (8-10 hours/week)
• Arbitrate. Investigate and lead collaboration if associate/manager or co-workers’ issue
• CFO. “Chief fairness officer” to ensure reasonable interpretation/implementation of policy
• Design. Keep our current best practices fresh and documented/communicated timely

• Lead. Boost current, innovative processes to be great

Note: Your direct involvement in recruiting will be nominal since we have two strong full-time recruiters

What we want from you

• Experience. 3-5 years of HR Generalist in company with 100+ associates
• Success. Proven impact on company’s culture, engagement, and retention
• Knowledge. Wide knowledge of HR practices, e.g., laws, benefits, work comp, engagement
• Detail. Enough attention to detail to accurately execute/explain systematic approaches with our HRIS
• HR Certification: PHR/SHRM-CP desirable
