HR Generalist
Jerith Manufacturing, LLC is looking for a dynamic person to provide HR best practices initiatives and support for a manufacturing facility.
What you will be doing:
- Time Off and Attendance tracking
- Coordination with Supervisors to ensure time cards are accurate for payroll submission.
- Recruit direct hire manufacturing employees and work with Temp agencies to provide additional manpower.
- Pre-employment process, onboarding and new hire orientation process of both union and non-union employees.
- Assist Supervisors with Employee counseling.
- Benefits administration, leave of absence administration, open enrollment process, changes, etc.
- Lead plant Safety & Health committee, aligned with Segment Human Resources safety initiatives.
- Work closely with management and our Corporate HR group to strategically plan, provide guidance, and maintain an engaged, high performing organization.
- Interpret collective bargaining agreement(s), participate in grievance, arbitration and negotiation processes on behalf of the company.
- Assure compliance with all division and corporate policies/procedures.
- Represent the division at personnel related hearings and investigations.
The skills and experience you need:
- At minimum - Associates Degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field with HR experience.
- 3+ years comprehensive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience working in a union facility is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working as the sole HR resource onsite for the location.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to be flexible, multi-task and be detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
