The HR & Finance Associate works to support daily administrative operations where the Human Resources Department and Finance Department intersect. The position requires strict confidentiality, attention to detail, and discretion. The HR & Finance Associate reports directly to the Human Resources Manager – indirectly with the Director of Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Human Resources Department

  • Support HR Department through administrative support including HRIS database maintenance; new hire orientations; employment verifications; files and records maintenance.
  • Work with HR Manager on HR and Agency projects.
  • Assists with recruitment by posting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, scheduling of interviews, creating and maintaining recruitment spreadsheets and other documents.
  • Enter and terminate benefits for new, current, and separating staff.

Finance Department

  • Provide finance generalist support for Finance Department.
  • Support the processing of biweekly payroll.
  • Ensures data integrity with finance and payroll systems.
  • Reconcile payroll entries with benefit vendors.

Additional Expectations

  • Participates in team and agency meetings.
  • Works with other program and agency staff
  • Develops own professional development plan with manager and attends trainings, meetings, and conferences within Casa Myrna and in the community.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor and agency.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Committed to Casa Myrna’s values and mission of ending domestic and dating violence and commercial exploitation, and promoting social justice and social change.
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience performing Human Resources and Finance related activities.
  • Bookkeeping experience with financial software – QuickBooks Online preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll systems helpful
  • Knowledge of HR Policies & Procedures
  • Expert at using Microsoft Office Suites including Excel. Digital & social media tools a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate work at multiple sites; ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work and advocate in a collaborative style with diverse ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic groups, as well as diversity based on ability/disability, sexual orientation and religion.
  • Promote an atmosphere of respect and cooperation; maintain confidentiality regarding program participants.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication, crisis management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $45,000 -$50,000

Location: Boston (Grove Hall) Hybrid

Hours: full-time (4 days and 35 hours/week)
