Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00

Under general supervision, the HR Clerk professionally represents the dealership to prospective employees and current employee population by always interacting professionally and positively. Consistently maintains a high level of enthusiasm for organization in all telephone and personal interactions. Regularly performs semi-routine clerical duties in accordance with established procedures, instructions, and work routines. Performs a variety of human resources clerical and administrative duties to insure that established procedures and state and federal guidelines are followed. Summarizes daily activities for supervisor, records phone messages, prepares summaries of conversations and prepares routine reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Human Resources department in a variety of HR Functions including, but not limited to, employee time keeping, training, and development.
  • Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
  • Prepares and tracks all employee trainings.
  • Answers phone calls from employees cordially and professionally.
  • Maintains all confidential files in an organized and detailed manner.
  • Types a variety of reports, letters, internal documents, ensures all written communications are accurate by facts and grammar.
  • Creates correspondence, forms and other documents as assigned using dealership computer system and word processing system on a regular and consistent basis.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of HR experience.
  • Able to prepare and/or review complex reports for accuracy with original data in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Transfers and/or incorporates in correspondence summary figures accurately and legibly from worksheets to hand and computer-generated reports.
  • Communicates with, takes messages and responds to needs from applicants, employees, and vendors.
  • Ability to communicate in English accurately, clearly, and professionally over the phone and in person to a variety of people.
  • Utilizes calculating equipment, adding machine and computer quickly and accurately.
  • Records data (taken by phone or in person) accurately, legibly, and quickly while entering data simultaneously into computer system.
  • Uses personal computer to prepare documents and reports as required. Ability to work on a VDT utilizing a variety of programs and systems.
  • Compiles correct data from miscellaneous sources and creates appropriate format for review by direct supervisor and other managers.
  • Converses with wide variety of personalities in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Manages personal time effectively and efficiently.
  • Receives directions regarding assignments and follows through on assignments in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Works in a consistently demanding and fast paced environment with internalizing demands.
  • Mental/Intellectual capacity to perform multiple duties, track multiple assignments, and work with senior management.
  • Regular and timely daily attendance with overtime as assigned on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Works in an enclosed indoor environment with usual carpeting, paint and wall coverings.
  • Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.
