About the position:
As a House Coordinator Nurse at Madison Health, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of nursing services and personnel for the assigned shift. Ensures safe, efficient, quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the hospital. In the absence of the Administrator, the House Coordinator has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call.

Key job qualities/duties:*
- Directs all nursing staff on assigned shift for all units. Assigns personnel to units when and as needed. Monitors staffing needs throughout the assigned shift and as needed to cover call-ins. Adheres to established staffing matrix for all units.
- Provides guidance, supervision, direction and assistance to nursing personnel to provide quality patient care. Works with staff to resolve problems concerning nursing care issues.
- Interprets and assures compliance with established hospital policies and procedures.
- Responds to all emergency situations as they arise. Initiates necessary action as emergency dictates.
- Able perform duties of staff nurse, patient care assistant and unit secretary as staffing dictates.
- Utilizes independent judgment regarding priority of work, changes in patient condition, evaluating patient’s response to care and emergency situations.

What qualifications are we looking for?*
*
Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- 1 year staff nurse experience required; previous supervisory experience preferred
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment
- ACLS certification within 6 months of employment
- PALS certification within 1 year of employment (if applicable to department)
- Basic computer skills required; prior EPIC patient charting experience preferred
