Hampton Inn is in search of a passionate and experienced Hilton General Manager. You will effectively lead the day to day operations with a priority on overall guest satisfaction. Oversee and assist in all areas of the hotel: front desk, breakfast, housekeeping, maintenance, sales and marketing, revenue management, and human resources. Reports to Regional Director of Operations & Owner
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create an efficient, professional, and upbeat culture
- Hire optimistic team members and provide constructive criticism
- Complete annual reviews promoting advancement for future leaders
- Thoroughly know and implement brand standards, and brand QA Inspection expectations
- Adhere to management company policies and procedures, and demonstrate strong moral principles
- Ability to complete routine accounting procedures for accurately and on time
- Report incidents verbally and written immediately to regional management
- Inspect guestrooms and public areas inside and outside of the property for safety, cleanliness, and appeal
- Engage with guests to solicit their feedback to address immediate concerns and prevent issues from repeating
- Actively participate in weekly revenue management strategy calls and lead man/lead womanagement calls
- Know competitor hotels' strengths and weaknesses, and establish relationships with them
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of proven successful General Manager experience
- Exceptional customer service, and problem-solving skills, and focusing on problem avoidance
- Professional and kindhearted communication skills; email/written and verbal
- Powerful leadership competence, contributing to overall team member retention
- Ability to take ownership of problems that arise and overcome them with minimal direction
- Knowledge of basic accounting skills and computer programs
- Push, pull, lift and or carry objects up to 40+ pounds, walk upstairs, long distances, and or stand for long periods at a time
- Hilton experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of hotel PMS systems
