The Innsbruck Inn in Stowe, Vermont is a family-owned retreat looking for a new General Manager of this 26 room property. Recently under new ownership and fresh off a complete renovation of the motel, we are seeking to find a new General Manager who will help take The Innsbruck to the next level of hospitality and ensure the Inn attracts guests that want to return time and time again.

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Innsbruck Inn, which includes managing the staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maximizing revenue. This position requires experience in property management. This applicant should have hands-on management/leadership skills with the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing market and business conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, and supervise staff members, including front desk staff, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure that all employees are following proper procedures and adhering to Vermont state laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that improve guest satisfaction and ensure the safety and security of all guests and staff members.
• Monitor and analyze financial statements .
• Manage room inventory and ensure that all rooms are clean and well-maintained.
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and satisfactory manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, and prepare regular reports for the owners.
• Ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order and comply with Vermont state laws and regulations.
• Maintain positive relationships with local businesses and organizations, and participate in community events to promote the Inn.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in hotel or resort management.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of Vermont state laws and regulations related to the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The General Manager will report directly to the owners of the Innsbruck Inn. Salary and Benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
