POSITION SUMMARY

The Host/Hostess greets and informs arriving guests on Brewery tours, Taproom hours of operation, merchandise, musical guests, and seating information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

• Welcomes guests in an enthusiastic and friendly manner
• Maintain constant communication with servers and bussers to ensure efficient seating and pub procedures
• Operate reservation system
• Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Brewery tour times and events schedules
• Demonstrate knowledge of the La Tropical brand, history, and products
• Assist private parties with seating reservations
• Responsible for cleanliness of host station; assists with organization and sanitation of taproom
• Monitor guests in accordance with taproom rules; escalating issues to management or security as needed
• Maintain merchandise area; ensure that merchandise is clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing to customers
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience with Open Table is preferred
• Knowledge of craft beer is desired

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to Assistant Taproom Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requires moderate physical efforts. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, and pushing, lifting of weights up to 30 pounds.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

• May be required to work additional hours as dictated by workload and staffing.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
