Job Summary
Home Health Aide carries out health tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed therapist. The HHA provides assistance with personal hygiene, housekeeping and other relalated supportive tasks to a patient with health care needs in his or her home in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Mohawk Valley Health System.

Meets patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and families and follows the plan of care throughout the patient’s experience.
Establishs a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends and families.
Promotes patient independence by supporting the patient care goals.
Assure quality care by adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Education Requirements
Required:
- Completion of a course of study approved by the New York State Department of Education for a Certified Home Health Aide or a Certified Home Health Aide Competency program
Licensure/Certification Requirements
Required: Current, valid New York State Driver's license in good standing; Basic Life Support Certification prefered
