Job description
Sentara Healthcare is hiring a full time Home Health Aide to join the Hospice team in Harrisonburg, VA. This is a Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm position.
Home Health Aides will perform basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding, checking vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, and assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home.
Those hired in the Home Health Aide role will provide personal care services in the location where the participant lives including a home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or adult home.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or the equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of an accredited nurse aide program is required.
- Must obtain BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must be able to provide own transportation.
