Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $160 / Day.

What you'll be doing as a Harbor Deckhand:

• General Housekeeping and upkeep of the vessel, including washing, painting, and cleaning
• Tow work, including building, rigging, and building tow for Line boats.
• Fleet work, including preparing barges for delivery to local customers
• Assist the captain with required vessel reports in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Stand watch and look for other boats and dangerous obstructions in the water, as well as navigational aids like buoys or markers.
• Follow the Captain's orders and help senior deck officers
• Ensure best environmental practices while working

Job requirements:

• No experience necessary
• Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of captain or mate.
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to work in all types of climates
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted and physically preform all job duties required.
• Some assignments have additional screening requirements, such as drug tests
