GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for providing on-site cultivation for one or more cannabis gardens and completion of tasks assigned by the Director of Cultivation to monitor and maintain plant production and health.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for following direction of Peninsula’s SOP’s/Manager’s direction.
- Carry out day-to-day plant care including watering, pruning, defoliating, harvesting, cleaning, and trimming. Monitor and maintain plant production and quality control measures in accordance with MRA and the standards set by Peninsula.
- Check and perform all tasks on the opening/closing checklist SOP.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of production area.
- Pot and label seedlings/clones as needed.
- Transplanting plants into larger containers as needed.
- Examine plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects, disease, nutrient deficiency/toxicity.
- Identify pests, diseases or infestations and consult with a manager to diagnose/treat.
- Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Defoliation in both flower and veg, with instruction from relevant managers.
- Washing pots/trays/lights, etc. retuning them to the appropriate Clean Room
- Harvesting and trimming flowering plants.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting all cultivation spaces after a harvest.
- Bucking material from the dry room and preparation for trimming.
- Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation facility.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment and tools including mixing tools, application tools, grow benches, drains, and HVAC equipment.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED
Qualification:
Must be at least 21 years old and a resident of Michigan.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have reliable transportation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
