GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The grill attendant is a customer service staff member who will work in the Pete Dye Grill at Kearney Hill Golf Links. They are responsible for assisting customers with their grill purchases, providing helpful information about products, and processing transactions using a point of sale system.
In addition to sales, the grill attendant will also be responsible for daily cooking of hot dogs and hamburgers, preparing customers sandwiches, stocking shelves, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring that the grill and seating area is clean and organized. They may also prepare and serve snacks and beverages.
To excel in this role, the grill attendant should have excellent customer service skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They should also have basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age or older due to ABC liquor license laws

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Will work in the Pete Dye Grill at Kearney Hill Golf Links. This position will primarily work our counter service selling food, drinks, beer, and snacks as well as help prep burgers and hot dogs.
- No formal culinary or food industry experience is necessary, only need to be able to perform basic cooking of hot dogs and hamburgers.
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized during, and at the end of your shift.
- Work as a cohesive team to accomplish goals with other employees.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grill by performing routine cleaning responsibilities as assigned daily.
- Complete routine opening and closing duties as assigned daily by shift type.
- Comply and follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies as set by the restaurant and United States Food Safety Inspection Service in part of the Food and Drug Administration

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must complete food handler certification through the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department or currently have an active certification
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for 5+ hours at a time, using hands and feet throughout the entire shift
- Must be able to read, write, communicate effectively
