Greenhouse Grower Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Greenhouse Grower to join our team in producing high-quality edible flowers and leaves. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of horticulture, greenhouse management, and a strong commitment to sustainable growing practices. Greenhouse Grower Areas of Responsibility:

• Design, implement, and manage a greenhouse growing program for edible flowers and leaves
• Maintain optimal growing conditions, including temperature, light, humidity, and nutrient levels
• Monitor and control pests and diseases using integrated pest management techniques
• Keep accurate records of orders, plant health, and crop yields
• Continuously monitor and optimize growing conditions to ensure optimal plant health and yield
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify new trends and opportunities in the edible flowers and leaves market
• Lead our R&D efforts to find new and innovative edible flower and leaf varieties
• Keep accurate records of all R&D activities and share findings with the team
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations

Greenhouse Grower Requirements:

• Pesticide Applicator/Technician Certification NYS, to be completed within 6 months of employment (paid by the company)
• Bachelor's degree in horticulture or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in greenhouse growing and management
• Strong knowledge of plant biology, nutrition, and physiology
• Familiarity with integrated pest management techniques
• A passion for innovation and a willingness to experiment with new ideas
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic R&D team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
