As the Government Property Manager for Rolls-Royce, you will provide a resource into the Defense Government Property program ensuring compliance to and maintenance of all Marine Government Property.

You will also be the focal point for and coordinate internal and external audits as well as train the work force on government property regulations and requirements while ensuring that the Walpole, MA, Peterborough, ONT and Pascagoula, MS sites are compliant to all Government Property requirements in alignment with the FAR and RR polices.

Key Accountabilities:
  • To ensure that there are robust processes for each of the 10 performance-based outcomes to manage Government Property throughout the organization and ensure that they are built into the different functions and areas that interact, handle, contract and are involved with Government Property
  • Perform self-assessments and regular internal audits and manage a perpetual physical inventory plan including maintenance and calibration and ensure management of 3PL sites, where Government Property is maintained, received, and stored.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions from the self-assessments and audits
  • Run workshops periodically to ensure the teams are meeting the Government Property requirements and to establish a continuous improvement program
  • Be the focal point for external audits and ensure that the team follows the processes to pass the external audits in addition to guide, teach, train, and advise the operations, logistics and other functional teams in the Government Property processes and procedures to become self-sustaining
  • Represent Rolls-Royce as the direct interface to the government auditors and contract officers in all matters concerning government property and participate in the daily operations stand up meeting to remain cognizant of the government equipment process flow and present relevant government property information
Basic Requirements:
  • Associates degree with 4+ years’ experience in government property, logistics management, supply chain management, engineering OR;
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in government property, logistics management, Supply chain management, engineering OR;
  • Masters’ degree with experience in government property, logistics management, supply chain management, engineering OR;
  • In lieu of degree, 6+ years’ experience in government property, logistics management, supply chain management, engineering
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship
Preferred Requirements:
  • Project or Program Management experience
  • Previous continuous improvement experience
  • Utilizing cycle counting and maintenance of government property
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Prior SAP experience
