Position Summary

Assist the Director of Golf and the Operations Manager with the management of daily golf operations including coordinating and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervising outside golf staff, assisting with merchandising functions, assisting with tournament operations, teaching lessons, and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Golf and Operations Manager.

Supervision Exercised

Assist the Director of Golf and the Operations Manager with golf staff supervision.

Essential Functions

• Professionally conduct oneself and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Coordinate the daily golf shop and outside service operations professionally and efficiently under the oversight of the Director of Golf and the Operations Manager.
• Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
• Control and manage play; ensure guest check-in and fee collection.
• Day to day supervision of golf operations personnel (volunteers and outside service staff) under the oversight of the Director of Golf and the Operations Manager.
• Coordinate and communicate with the Golf Course Superintendent and his staff.
• Manage the total operation of the practice facility.
• Together with the Director of Golf provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with agreed upon instructional methods, policies and procedures. These clinics include; Men’s and Ladies Intro to Golf group sessions, local sports camps, beginner golf classes, and our local chapter of the First Tee junior golf program.
• As scheduling permits, assist with the teaching, coaching and mentoring of the EVHS Boy’s and Girl’s Golf Teams.
• Provide private instruction on a scheduled basis as approved by the Director of Golf and the Operations Manager.
• Assist with purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
• Assist with coordination of club fitting and repair.
• Be informed of, and promote all club activities and services.
• Strive to increase play in all areas. Work with the Town of Gypsum, Director of Golf and the Operations Manager to attract group play and outside groups that will utilize the entire facility and increase profitability.
• Assist in managing tournaments and outings including direct responsibility for “day of” execution.
• Manage the Colorado Golf Association GHIN handicap program.
• Together with the Director of Golf and Operations Manager promote the Men’s and Ladies League development and assist the League Officers with the success of their ventures.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations as needed.
• Cooperate with the food and beverage lessee to ensure his opportunity for success.
• This is a seasonal, non-exempt position that requires availability on weekends, holidays and evenings.
