Position Purpose:

This position is in the People Services Global Mobility Management team and has responsibility for providing guidance, consulting and optimal solutions on mobility tax policies, compliance, and manage tax services vendors. In addition, this role will focus on innovation, customer experience and process improvements related to tax, relocation, and immigration.

This role also supports the execution, administration, and communications of the Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) Global Mobility Management Team (GMM). This includes but is not limited to supporting GMM caseloads, relocation, and immigration cases.

Detailed Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for continuous improvements / innovation in Global Mobility, using reporting and analytics, process mapping and other tools and technology

  • Become an expert on global mobility taxation concepts (Americas, EMEA, and APAC) and mobility processes/policies,

  • Develop a holistic view of mobility function to support the redesign of end-to-end processes and appropriate allocation of work across different functions.

  • Manage TEQ and escalations related to global mobility tax

  • Provide oversight and guidance on data collection as needed for Global Payroll (non-US) reporting activities.

  • Accountable for Share Tax equity matters, including tax rates, in collaboration with the Equity Service Line and external tax vendor

  • Main point of contact for global mobility tax queries from various stakeholders (employees, HRBP, Business, Corporate Tax, Payroll, etc.)

  • Responsible for governance and management of BMS global tax vendor

  • Collaborate with payroll and global tax vendor for information, reporting and validating reports

  • Track and monitor global mobility tax budgets and manage the vendor budget/payment process

  • Support and address contractual and operational issues related to global mobility vendors.

  • Review and manage their adherence to contracted services and Service Level Agreements.

  • Track incidents and maintain log of root causes, draw solutions for future mitigation, escalate as appropriate.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and processes maps for GMM function.

  • Manage Service Now cases, develop and deliver training to mobility partners and stakeholders and develop and maintain PS Capability Center specific as well as mybms operational Knowledge content, ensuring these are current, accurate and market relevant

  • Act as back up to support Global Mobility Leads

Must have requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college.

  • 7 – 10 years’ total combined experience in Global Talent Mobility experience providing Tax, Talent Mobility and/or Immigration services in a Legal or Corporate environment with strong focus on process improvement, innovation, and tax policies

  • Knowledge of the principles of project management and experience with managing multiple complex projects.

  • Customer centric and data driven.

  • High sense of urgency, ability to respond quickly to customer and tax/legal counsel (external/internal) inquiries and adapt easily to a fast-moving business environment

  • Strong consultative and customer services skills, using excellent communication skills while demonstrating an enterprise mindset.

  • ability to present complex information in a clear and convincing way to senior BMS leaders and stakeholders and employees at all levels in the organization

  • Ability to use business judgment when assessing requirements and performance, to identify the right solution to meet business needs;

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and strong process orientation with technical and analytical skills to provide effective mobility, mobility tax and immigration solutions

  • Ability to network across a global organization, build relationships and collaborate to align with organization objectives

  • Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:

  • Experience working with current BMS HR and TR enabling systems: Workday, ServiceNow, (case management) and other applications such as Visio.

  • Experience working within a global HR Shared Services delivery model and in a multicultural/multi-country work environment.

  • Project Management certification.
