Wings Gymnastics is a growing business that just opened it's second location in Sioux Falls, SD! We are currently hiring for a Girls Recreational Program Leader and a Competitive Team Gymnastics Coach. This can be either one full time position or separate part-time positions. We are looking for a coach who is energetic and has a passion for working with children. A Positive Coaching style is our number 1 requirement.

Applicant needs to have a minimum of 2-3 years coaching experience. The Team Coach portion requires experience in competitive levels and the willingness to learn how to coach all Xcel levels through DP level 10.

Girls Recreational Program Leader Job Description:

The PL's main responsibilities are:

• Lesson planning for our Beginner girls- Adv Girls Classes. Our top rec level aligns with Xcel Gold skills.

• Evening Staff and Floor Management of our Main location

• Coaching some daytime rec classes

• Coaching at least one night rec classes

The PL would also prepare the gym for class each night including things like:

• Making sure Rec staff have all tools needed to coach: Preparing Staff Bins with Lesson Plans, postcards, handouts etc.

• Preparing the gym for classes

• Checking in and fielding coach questions

• Gym Safety Check and Equipment Prep etc.

• Any additional administrative tasks that the Youth Class Department needs for the week

Team Coach Job Description

Coaching Team classes at least 3-4 nights a week

Additional admin duties that could include:

1. Management of athletes in USA Gym system

2. Meet Registration

3. Tasks that pertain to meets like checking rosters, communication with host gym, getting checks out etc.

4. Ordering Leo’s and other gear

4. Routine management for 2 events for all levels

5. Contributing to our team training program

6. Any other light admin duties needed by the Team PL

7. Lesson Planning when needed

Meet compensation: All meals, mileage, and housing is covered. We ask coaches eat breakfast at hotels and food at meets if appropriate food is available. This keeps costs down as much as possible.

Meet hours are paid hourly as a “contracted” position. You are paid for 15 mins before the session through awards.

Meet pay: contracted hourly rate

Hours for both positions require 3-5 evenings a week between the times of 2:30-8:30pm. 1-2 mornings may be required. Any additional hours can be scheduled during the day.
