If you prior work experience or training in a mechanical field, Peterson Power Systems, a Peterson Cat company, needs multiple Generator Technicians who will based at our Hillsboro, OR location. Lots of growth opportunities in the exciting standby Power industry!

As a new Technician you could expect to work at our Hillsboro location initially; later you will be given a Field Truck to do maintenance and repair in the field.

Specific duties include:

Pre-delivery setup, installation, and start-up on all makes and models of Caterpillar engines, generators, and related products.

Repair, replace or rebuild engines and related systems and components – Cat and Non-Cat products in Industrial, Marine, and EPG applications.

Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and timecards in an accurate and timely manner to enable other employees to do their job in a timely manner.

A candidate for the job needs an Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field; and a minimum of three years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Travel is required to meet customer service requirements including overnight stays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
