Position Summary: The primary position of Plant Utility is a labor and/or relief position, and is occupied by one person in the Warehouse Department who reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. The person in this position shall be capable of relieving personnel in the Plant and, when not doing so, have responsibility for inspecting and preparing rail cars / bulk trucks for loading, besides maintaining an assigned area in a clean, sanitary condition at all times. This Position does rotate all 3 shifts (1st, 3rd and 2nd shifts every 2 weeks). Must be available to work weekends and Overtime. Must pass a Background Check, Physical, and Drug Screening prior to employment.

Essential Job Duties:

· Maintains essential plant equipment

· Cleans and prepares cars/trucks for loading

· Train in different job functions around the plant and provide relief when needed.

· Routinely observes and reports to the Dept. manager information she/he needs to ensure the preservation of the physical facility, including all utilities, pumps, compressors, boilers, roofs, etc.

· Fill out documentation, both written and electronically

· Ability to run analytical tests to ensure the product is within specification

· Ensures equipment stays in optimal repair and knows when to shut down to perform maintenance activities

· Ability to tell when to turn down a railcar that is out of specification on cleaning

· Lifting, pushing, and pulling 50+ pounds

· Climbing ladders and working in elevated heights

· Working in confined spaces

· Working in dusty (must be able to wear a dust mask) and loud conditions

· Working around moving equipment

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Be at work, ready to work, on time and consistently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.34 per hour
